2014 – Complete an Ironman
In 2014 I challenged myself to complete an Ironman triathlon. The infamous race takes most of a day to complete. It became famous when footage of competitors crawling to cross the finish line aired on national television.
I have spent most of my life running races from 1 to 6 miles and wanted to test myself on a much longer 140.6 mile course. I also thought learning how to swim & bike for speed would be a fun challenge that stretched me.
I successfully completed an Ironman in 11:01:10 on November 16, 2014. Below is a photo of my finish as well as blog posts about my preparation and race experience.
